01 Problem
We needed to create a new visual identity for BB's annual UX Design event in a tight deadline, that was flexible enough to encompass possible future new concepts, colors, and themes.
02 Approach
In a joint effort of the entire BB UX team and the community of UX managers and leaders, the process went through naming dynamics, discovery, ideation, Pitch rounds, a lot of feedback and prototyping to get here.
03 Solution
Our solution was a geometric, friendly and relaxed visual identity. It was designed to be dynamic, always in motion, whether on changing gradients or in fun vignettes. Its variety of colors and signatures allowed the identity to be applied in the most diverse materials, contexts and needs.
The process
Key concepts definition
The definition of key concepts was based on interviews with the team where we asked what the event meant to them, what they felt and what words would define their experience in the last years of the event. Thus, in a group dynamic, we selected the most voted concepts and separated them into functional and emotional attributes.
Team Co-creation
First we needed a name to start with. The name we previously owned needed to be changed as another event in the country shared the same name. In this way, we gathered the main semantic and conceptual attributes and made an ideation dynamic with the team to suggest new names. Afterwards, we did voting rounds with the team where we came up with a few options that were later chosen by the team's design managers.
Moodboard
We then set out to create a moodboard with references, similar events and inspirations from various sides. Among these, we could see the artistic and conceptual direction that we would like to follow.
Website
Here we used the Web Fluid 16 columns grid to ensure the site reflected the bold personality of the branding. We used horizontal content blocks, fun dividers, and dynamics with animations and parallax. This modulation allowed us to insert the content in parts as it was made available by the event’s organization.

Content presentation
The content of talks and presentations was one of the main focuses of the site, so we made modular pages that could accommodate different types of lectures with a variety of speakers. All this was built on a WordPress platform so that updates were quick but without losing the fun with colors and textures.
